The Monologue Project is an ongoing collaboration between actor Ian David Holmes and filmmaker Shane Davey - IMDb The Monologue Project.
These short films were produced in East London and feature a range of characters from classic and contemporary plays as well as exciting new writing.

Ian has worked in theatre and film in the UK and Italy for over 20 years. He trained at the University of Manchester and Drama Studio London.
Theatre credits include: Fringe First Award winning, Steve in Life’s a Gatecrash, Edinburgh Festival and NW Touring; Orsino in Twelfth Night, Guilgud Theatre London; Danny Crazyblackmuthafuckinself, Soho Writers Theatre London; Pugachov in The Suicide and Various in The Jew of Malta, Teatro Della Contraddizione Milan/ Contact Theatre Manchester; Mark and Riley in The South London Passion Plays, Tristan Bates Theatre London; Milord in La Vedova Scaltra, Siro in La Mandragola and Hamlet, Pertruchio, Romeo in Shakespeare’s Lovers, Teatro Olmetto Milan; Schoen in Lulu, Hackney Empire Theatre London.
Screen credits include John in Noel Clarke’s Licks (see IMDb) and most recently Reg in Jonny Woo’s Silvertown project, The Writer in Adrian Morar and Moe Essa’s Beverages and Shane Davey’s Black Hole Son – Trailer
Ian has also written two full length plays Mitsubishi Zero and Infidelity both performed at Team Angelica New Writing Festivals at The Tristan Bates Theatre and The Theatre Royal Stratford East London.
